They warn of centralized president power, banks under threat, and loom of a standing army, urging Harrison for change.
An 1820s Newburg Gazette letter from Benjamin Eaton, Life Guard to General Washington, recalls sixteen Revolutionary War engagements, Yorktown, Valley Forge, and Monmouth. He denounces being labeled a Tory, defends Whig principles, praises Gen. Harrison, and urges continued defense of the liberty won in America.
