American Legion Auxiliary chapters across Illinois have given over 7000 dollars to buy hearing aids for needy children in state facilities for the mentally retarded. Miss Katie Kunkelmann 95 of New Athens died Sunday at Monroe County Nursing Home Waterloo after an illness. She lived in the nursing home more than 10 years and in New Athens most of her life.
