New plan eyed for depot site and street extension

A tentative proposal from Mr. J. L. Hutton would have the city repay a $10,000 railroad loan in exchange for purchasing Callender Co. and Dale Bros. properties, granting a right of way for a new depot street, and creating warehouse frontage along a new street extending from High to South Main. The plan aims to relocate cottages rather than demolish them, consolidate warehouse space, and reduce city land purchases while the railroad tears up spur tracks and sides tracks nearby.
