The incident followed a break in at a tent used by railroad laborers under Foreman Ballest Brown near Thompson Station. Whisky license cases heard in county court
In the county criminal court Judge McKnight presided over whisky license cases. Sam Fliegersid was ordered to pay fifty dollars and serve six months in the workhouse for selling liquor without a license. The case against Fitzgerald was nolle pressed. Lou Rucker’s charge was also nolle pressed due to a fatal variance between the act and indictment. Judge McKnight will reconvene Thursday morning.
