Community Club Meeting With Prof Abernathy Speaker

A community club meeting is planned for next Tuesday night in Japan with Prof. H. G. Abernathy as the principal speaker. The event marks the first club organized in the area and Abernathy is noted for attracting a strong attendance. Earlier this week he led a well attended gathering at Lambden's store in the eastern county. Farmers showed interest in the extension division's work and welcomed suggestions. He is touring the county promoting agricultural guidance, including visits to Maree and nearby areas to assist farmers with local problems. In Sweden and Norway a marriage law required both parties to present independent certificates before a union could be performed.
