John Taylor, a respected Santa Fe County resident and member of the Tay lor family, died Tuesday night at Elijah McKee's home. The funeral was held Wednesday at 2 pm with Rev. Patton officiating. A familiar fiddler contest participant and uncle of Sam J. Taylor, his loss is widely mourned.

Frierson Buys Jones Farm In Eight-Parcel Purchase
John W. Frierson purchased Gordon Jones's two hundred acre farm near Cross Bridges for 20076.79 dollars, averaging about 101 dollars per acre. The sale covered four tracts totaling 70 35 20 and 63 34 acres with immediate possession granted except for tenant houses, barn space, stock, and crops retained by Jones until December 31 1914.
