In Dixon Kentucky on July 14 the Circuit Court opened for the trial of J B Barry of Louisville charged in a grave case. A forty person venire plus twenty four regular jurors were drawn while eight of the special panel were exhausted. The case drew large crowds with deputies at every courthouse door and about 100 witnesses summoned. Paul B Carter, injured in the same incident, arrived to testify after recovering from his injuries.
