Bloodhounds Track Escaped Prisoner From Theta to Mother’s Home
Jesse Johnson, a county chain gang prisoner at Theta, escaped after being sent to fetch water. Bloodhounds from Williamson County Work House trailed him for hours, crossing creeks and riding a mule, until he was found at his mother’s home two miles from Spring Hill, thirteen miles from the escape site.
