Permanent pump station to start in American River canyon
A $17 million project by Steve Manning Construction for Placer County Water Agency will begin within two weeks below Auburn. The work includes a permanent pumping station to move water rights to a canal system and a half mile of river restoration from a tunnel site opened in the Auburn dam project. About 30 to 40 workers will use Maidu Drive, with road noise and deliveries increasing.
