Colfax High Falcons used a six minute third quarter surge at Marion Stadium to topple Rio Linda 34 14 in the first round, earning a Div III semifinal at Oakdale. QB Ben Galbraith threw for 239 yards with two TDs, linking with Mike McCoy on a 64 yard scoring strike, while Matt Christopher added two rushing scores and a 30 yard option pass. Rio Linda, led by QB Matt Felkins, managed 207 passing yards but saw Donte Jones held to 34 rushing yards as Colfax seized control in the second half and pulled away.
