Meadow Vista trails group leads large cleanup push
Meadow Vista Trails Association members work with Placer County and other groups to clear berry bushes, cut through brush, and reopen trails including Time Stock Ranch, Sugar Pine Mountain, Combie, Canal, and Simpson Ranch routes. The group also plans to maintain 40 acres for Esoteric Fraternity and extend trails toward the American River Canyon, Lake Clementine, and Codfish Creek.

Colfax Area Chamber of Commerce CHP Placer County Department of Transportation and Public Works join to issue the I-80 Local sticker. Priced at $10, the sticker placed in windshields may help residents from Applegate to Soda Springs reach homes faster as about 1,700 vehicles pass the I-80 corridor daily.
