Colfax Record Run marks 25 years of town race time
The Colfax Record Run began in 1979 to draw people downtown Colfax. Organizers Joe and Patrice Goldeen and John and Lisa Demorest started 5K and 10K events, growing attendance for a quarter century. Soroptimist International now runs the event, with a Half Mile Kids Fun Run and 60 plus pre registrants aiming to double by race day. Alan Shuttleworth, longtime participant and now entrant in the 100 mile Truckee to Auburn endurance race, will start and compete.
