Colfax Pitcher Nets First Perfect Game in Falcon History
Matt McKinney pitched a perfect game last Wednesday in Colfax 2 0 victory over Mira Loma, the first by a Colfax pitcher. Earlier Colfax hurlers notables include 1971 8 inning no hitter by Dave Miles against Sutter, Mike Pitt no hitter in 1982 versus Galt with 16 strikeouts, and Zack Holm no hitter in 1994 against Wheatland. Colfax baseball faces a summer with no local 15 to 17 age program, aside from Placer and Bear River American Legion teams, leaving Outlaws district play dormant for years.
