Shocked man recovering after I 80 billboard accident
Placerville resident Timothy Paul Cockrell, 29, was injured Thursday near Canyon Way on Interstate 80 while wiring a billboard. Officials said he touched a 12,500 volt line, creating an arc. He was rescued by fire crews, flown to Sutter Roseville Trauma Center, and is improving. He suffered burns on his hands and arm.
