I-80 Local sticker program aids Colfax residents
Colfax Area Chamber of Commerce partners with CHP Placer County DOT and Public Works to offer I-80 Local stickers for 10 dollars. Available at CACC or Colfax City Hall, the program aims to speed trips for residents from Applegate to Soda Springs during heavy snow and holiday traffic. About 1,700 vehicles use the I-80 corridor hourly, rising to 3,000 during peaks, though stickers do not guarantee passage past closures.
