RSL badge wearers urged to be financial members

Col. G A Patterson president of the Coffs Sub-Branch of the League criticizes members who wear the RSL badge while unfinancial. He notes clips show years of nonpayment and says badge wearers are not active and use the badge as false pretence. He urges return to financial membership to support the League’s work.

Pr Joyce Turner will conduct a medical examination of all pupils starting Thursday June 1. A school dance is planned for June 19. Parents have donated over £10 in cash. Launch Destroyed At Woolgoolga

A motor launch moored at the Woolgoolga jetty was totally destroyed during heavy weather. Owned by Mr Rosmith the fishing boat has previously suffered damage in similar conditions. Salvage may be possible but act remains uncertain.

Communists raise debate at RSL sub branch meeting

At the Coffs Sub Branch of the RSL the president outlined state HQ instructions deeming Communists or sympathisers ineligible for membership.
