Keith Mills delivered a strong performance on Sunday beating brother Johnny in the surf teams section of the point score. Mills opened a five yard lead in the wade and, aided by a late sprint, won comfortably as points totals show Johnny Orman and Merv Archibald tied on 27. Several members were struck off the club list, and selectors will choose Coffs Surf Carnival teams next Sunday for publication in the Advocate. Also note Johnny Doolan’s motorbike injury in Sale, Victoria, with wishes for a speedy recovery.
