Accident Near Mooresville Injures Three
Three people were seriously hurt when their car crashed into an open bridge west of Mooresville. Mabel Jenkins of Plainfield suffered a severe scalp wound and injuries from bridge iron supports. Ruby Moon of Mooresville endured head gashes and body cuts. Edgar Neese of Plainfield, driver, had facial and body bruises and a broken wrist. They were taken to Robbins sanitarium. Moon later returned home. Jenkins is the daughter of Elmer and Mrs. Jenkins of north Plainfield.

Lightning strike damages town power system at Bowen home
A morning bolt between 9 and 10 o'clock struck central town taking out telephones and mains at East Main Street. The Bowen residence suffered a blown fuse and ceiling fire but Mrs. Bowen and Mrs. Hubble prevented further damage with water. West End of National Road Paving Near Completion
The Cunningham Construction Company completes about five miles of the National road west end south of town mainly in Putnam County. A large derrick moves to the west edge of Stilesville as the dinky railroad is redirected east from a cross roads two miles south of town to Crittenden road.
