McGranahan Sentenced for Burglary after Concealed Weapon Arrest

Measles Epidemic Subsides as Town Reopens School
Most children recover from measles within a week with only one or two cases left. Few new cases since last week's Herald. Over thirty cases were reported last week. The local school closed last week will reopen next Monday as most children are cleared to attend.
Putnam Resident Archibald Allen Dies at Bainbridge
Archibald Allen a Putnam county pioneer died at 7:90 Tuesday morning at his son James T. Allen’s home in Bainbridge. He moved there after selling his last 600 acres in Monroe township two weeks prior. Funeral Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Allen home, Rev. W. D. Hedrick officiating. Burial in Bainbridge cemetery.

Team’s runaway horses damage wagon near Draper Bryant store

The C W B M auxiliary held a small Friday gathering at Mrs. J G Sharp due to measles in many families. Mrs. Larkin led devotional exercises and Mrs. Mark and Miss Wisehart performed a musical number. Mrs. Sharp shared an account of the Interchurch World Movement pastors meeting, joined by Mrs. Cumberworth. Mrs. Bennett presented a paper on Petrus Rijnhart and Dr Susie Rijnhart, Tibetan missionaries, after a leaflet on Dr Loftus was read. A cheese sandwich fruit salad and coffee social followed.
