Larimore Addresses Prohibition at Methodist Church
M S Larimore spoke at the Methodist church last Sunday morning to a fair sized audience about prohibition and whisky taxation. He argued that Lincoln’s war measure to tax whisky remains on the books and must be repealed, urging replacement with internal revenue repeal and new legislative pledges. Mrs Nancy Christy Dies After Lingering Illness
Mrs Nancy Christy 73, long time resident, died Monday after a several month illness. Sister of Rev Lewis Smith, a Methodist minister formerly in the area. Funeral services were held at Coatesville Methodist Church, with burial in Greencastle.

First Small Pox Victim Tabor Hurst Buried in Mt Meridian
The first fatality from the small pox outbreak in Mt Meridian is Tabor Hurst aged 56. He was in poor health from Brights disease and other complications. He was interred at Providence cemetery south of Mt Meridian at high noon Sunday with no funeral services. He leaves a widow and one daughter Mrs Glenn Clarke of near Fillmore, four sisters, and four brothers listed with residences in Broad Park Indianapolis Crawfordsville near Greencastle Cloverdale Brazil and Hall.
