Auto Accident on East Washington Street Injures Passenger
Elmer Ader of Floyd township and G T Reeves of near Fillmore were in a westbound car on East Washington Street Saturday around 2 PM. The vehicle skidded on street oil, hit the curb, Reeves was cut severely and later treated by Dr. Hutchinson. Ader was uninjured.

Cecil Vanlandingham age 23 of Greencastle died Friday evening at Methodist hospital Indianapolis after surgery for amputation of his left arm. He contracted blood poisoning following an elbow injury at the Indiana Portland Cement plant Greencastle about a week earlier. He is survived by his widow.

Auto Crash Near Raccoon Injures Barnett Family
Auto overturned one mile south of Raccoon injuring Mrs. Barnett who suffered a severe cut to the left index finger and bruises to her right hand and shoulders. Mr and Mrs Barnett and son Paul and Miss Bessie Barnett were trapped briefly before help arrived. The other car fled the scene.

County fair seeks women leaders for Danville exhibit

Local elevator reports steady wheat receipts over the past week with eight farmers delivering No 1 grade. Most grain yields run about 20 bushels per acre though much of the harvest tests No 2 or poorer. Fire destroys barn on M. P. Bonham farm west of Reno
A barn and its contents were burned Saturday night on the M. P. Bonham farm west of Reno. A nearly new Ford sedan and several tons of hay were consumed. The cause is unknown though a Ford ignition could have started the blaze. Insurance status was not learned.
