Mrs. Sarah E Walton 69 wife of John S Walton of Solly Co l died Tuesday at her son Charles home near Coatesville heart trouble listed as cause. She had been visiting since mid August and planned to return to Colorado. Funeral likely Saturday at M E Church with interment in Masten cemetery. She leaves husband and eleven children with sisters in Indiana and Kentucky among relatives.

Amo high school junior class staged Deacon Dubbs on Friday night December 29 to strong acclaim. The production featured well suited cast members led by coach Mr Stevenson and highlighted by Frank Lisby who carried the show as Deacon Dobbs from Sorghum Center West Virginia.
The Indiana Historical Commission thanks county chairmen and local leaders for essential leadership and effort in the Indiana Centennial. Mrs. Eva Campbell Lineberry and Mrs. Ruth Bryant Elrod spoke on The First Christmas in America and Christmas in Olden Times. Miss Cora A. Brown performed a reading and Mrs. Trunt with Miss Mary sang. Guests included Mrs. Risher of Terre Haute and others from Indianapolis Martinsville and local towns.
The Methodist church Ladies Aid served a bountiful New Year dinner to over five members and guests. A long rear table held abundant viands as attendees self served for about an hour. A brief afternoon business session preceded transfer to the Ladies Missionary Society with Mrs. Ella Gambold leading and Daisy Knight, Mary Gambold, Shortridge, and Beulah Knight on the program.
The Methodist Sunday School Board met at the church and reorganized for the year naming W. C. Gilbert as Superintendent and Jacob Quick as Assistant. Guilia Masten was chosen Secretary with Roy Lisby as Assistant. Laura Hughes serves as Treasurer and Ella Gambold as Missionary Treasurer. Kathleen West is Pianist with Edna Nichols as Assistant and C. D. Knight as Chorister. Teachers include Mrs J B Gambold Geneva Bryant Mrs Lou Bryant Mrs Laura Hughes W B Swain Ella Gambold and Agnes Lakin.
