Murderer Was Former Resident Francis M White
Francis M White, a 16 year old boy who confessed to Indianapolis police last Friday that he killed grocer John P Aughinbaugh, was a former resident of this area. He lived with his parents who moved to the city recently and earlier worked on local farms. He forged multiple checks for 16.25 or 4.25 using Seth Hadley’s signature and names like John W Kellum, and was previously arrested for forgery in Hendricks county. He was jailed briefly in Danville after being caught in Clayton.

Clarence Johnson, 14, the son of Mrs. Ella Johnson, died Sunday noon at the home of Wilbur Johnson northwest of Coatesville after a brief illness of influenza and pneumonia. Funeral services were held at a Stilesville church Tuesday morning with burial in Stilesville cemetery beside his father.
