A Boston Globe motion urges Congress to extend terms by two years or until the war ends. The piece frames religion as life and living through expression and service and supports elections by default, seeking to be among the seconds in the proposal.

The Tuesday club held its Xmas meeting at Mrs Let Stewart's home with Mrs Stewart and Mrs Cora Masten as hosts. Ten members attended. a Xmas story was read by Miss Callie Shields with musical numbers by Mrs S Mark and Miss Wisehart. Three guests attended. gifts were exchanged and refreshments served.
The Amo high school held a Red Cross seal sale with a class contest. junior class won by selling 2105 seals, total sales 6760 across the school. Henry Jackson led individual sales with 360. Alumni boys defeated Amo teams in two games. Christmas vacation observed. exams set for January 4 and 5. Numerous local notices follow, including obituaries, weddings, school shifts, and civic events from August to December.
