Joseph N. Chappalear a 50 year old blacksmith from St. Bernice died after being struck by a Clinton interurban car at Sixth and Wabash in Terre Haute while boarding to go home. He was unmarried and a brother of the late Thomas Chappalear. Funeral held at Ernest Chappalear's home followed by burial at Sugar Grove cemetery.
