Work is underway on Lyons Baptist church building program with 25 adults and children in the congregation. Rev. Richard Averitt said members will supply much of the labor for two buildings starting with a 24 by 40 educational unit east of the church at 321 30th Ave No. Footings for the unit were poured Friday and future plans include a sanctuary with first floor and basement and parking.
