The Clinton Herald inaugurates another phase of its expansion and modernization with a new two story wing adding 16 000 square feet to the plant, housing five departments. Ole Jorgensen and Sons won the contract and began work by Armistice Day 1954.
In centennial year and near completion of its new building, The Clinton Herald invites residents to an open house October 1 and 2 from 2 30 to 8 30 p m. Tours explain plant operations with staffed departments and posted statistics. Visitors receive refreshments and a souvenir.
