Mrs. Ole Reierson of Cranfills Gap, born December 18 1800 in Texas, died January 21 1980 at 78 years. Survived by husband, children Alvin Kolaraon Rowen Cael Brynh Min ielergon, two grandchildren Curtis Relerson Lavada Huthrym, a sister Thora Strand and others. Funeral conducted at St Olaf Cemetery in Cranfilla followed by burial in the church yard.

Central Texas Fair opens Thursday with a parade at 10 am featuring bands, cavalry, and farm exhibits. Entries exceed last year across junior livestock, poultry, and crafts, with more than 40 head in each cattle and turkey shows. A carnival and enhanced entertainment are planned, vendors close streets for the event, and the parade route starts at Avenue D and Norton, ending at the fairgrounds.

The Commissioners Court met in special session Thursday September 41 to approve the 1960 tax roll of Omar Robinson County Tax Assessor Collector. The tax roll shows an increase of 0.70 over the 104d roll with a total of $11,512,540. Taxes due Boone County amount for Ad Valorem.
Mr. Sam J. Alexander of Clifton and Mrs. Mabel Crosley of Cap eras Coven married last Saturday September 23 at a China Spring residence. The couple, who have known each other for over 50 years, previously lived in the Smith Bend area. They will reside in Clifton’s B. L. Eider department.
Clifton Civic Improvement Society offers centennial dinner plates for 1852 1962 city anniversary in blue brown and yellow. Plates feature historic building and fair scenes. Sales start Oct 1 1950 at City offices and Women’s Exhibit Building with Sunday hours by arrangement through Mrs Elvrne Cota.
Ole Halverbekken died at the local hospital Saturday night September 28 at age 76 years six months. Funeral services were held Sunday at Our Saviors Zaitherun Church of Nor e with burial in the church cemetery at Norse. He came to America in 1881 with his father and two brothers and lived in Bonque County until his death. He leaves no close relatives. the Halverbekken family has long appeared in the Record.
