Bosque Memorial Museum will formally open on Sunday October 27 with ceremonies led by Mrs De J How, president of the Bosque Memorial Museum Association. The event marks a years long effort to preserve local history and support educational programs in the region.
Mrs W B Oswald of Citon will head the Farm Queen Contest at the Heart of Texas Fair in Waco Saturday September 2. The outdoor event starts at 7 PM with a queen’s committee and talent from local communities. Jimmy Gandy, Rodney Cannan, and Margie Illlester from Bosque County are among participants, with events and local talent scheduled for the fair's Saturday night program.

Entries must be registered at the Paint and Paper Store in CU Yon by October 20 and unsold works may be picked up after the exhibit.
