Clifton Native Lula Kell Kell Dies in Wichita Falls
Mrs Lula Kemp Kell a Clifton native aged 90 died at her Wichita Falls home on Monday September 16 near the 16th anniversary of her husband Frank Kell Jr a Wichita Falls pioneer. She helped found the Civic League and aided city growth. Survived by six daughters seven grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren with one son Joseph Kell killed in 1939 car crash. Funeral services were held at First Presbyterian Church in Wichita Falls.

The Ladies' Auxiliary of the United Pentecostal Church in Clifton schedules a city hall rally on Friday night September 27 with Reverend V. Guidroz of Baytown as speaker and all day services Saturday September 28 with District Auxiliary president Mrs. Lawson Williams as speaker. Remodelling at the church means the rally is moved to City Hall. Also notes local residents J. M. Huse and family spent time in Arkansas visiting Hot Springs Eureka Springs and Little Rock.

On Friday September 13 at 8:00 p m Mr and Mrs Raymond Smith hosted a rehearsal dinner at their Valley Mills home for son Charles Raymond Smith his fiancée Dorothy V Sager of Clifton and wedding party members.
