Austin Texas September 11 Sleeping sickness has caused 105 Texas deaths in five years per Dr W A Davin state health registrar. Most deaths occurred in fall and winter with fourteen this January and scattered across the state from El Paso to Harrison County. The Bosque county grand jury plans bi annual session next Monday at Meridian with twelve citizens accused but not found guilty.

Has Fine Tree Of 2nd Crop Peaches
G. P. Awalt owns an unusual peach tree that yields a second crop after a cold or bad first crop. He provided a sample of fruit to the Herald-Record. peaches are small yet delicious and firm.
