Fishermen Visit Rockport and Taylor Weekend
Mr. and Mrs. O. L. Flint traveled to Rockport last Monday to meet Mr. Flint’s brother in law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Joe H. Pedigo of Kerrville. Herman T Hulme Dies in Baytown at 67
Bosque County kin report the death of Herman T. Hulme 67 of Baytown at a Houston hospital around noon on Sunday August 28 after a brief illness. He retired from Humble’s Compound Dept after 34 years and had served as Democratic Precinct 100 chair and delegate to the 1960 National Democratic Convention. He leaves wife Verna Mallory two children Joe Bob Hulme and Mrs Valera Cook two brothers two sisters and grandchildren. Funeral was August 30 at Earthman’s Baytown with burial at San Jacinto Memorial Park.

Lake Whitney Flotilla Plans Labor Day Cruise
Lake Whitney's first Flotilla organized by Central Texas Command of the Texas Navy will host a 15-boat flotilla. Commander James A. Bond says the cruise starts at 10:00 a.m. on Labor Day, from the mouth of Little Rocky up the lake’s west side, back on the east, then a stop at the Big B Barge for refreshments.

Rainfall in Clifton reached 3.90 inches by Tuesday morning with a two hour Monday night downpour.
