Dedication services for the new organ and chimes at the First Baptist Church Clifton are set for October 31 with Rev Cley L. Burns and Rev Reed presiding. The Sunday School assembly will precede the ceremony, and Dr W Summers of Baylor University will deliver the dedication sermon. Organists include Miss Susan Witcher and Mrs Clay Burns with H K Rucker as guest soloist.

Grace Baptists Welcome New Pastor Reverend Melvin Riley
Reverend Melvin Riley, 32, has accepted the call to serve as pastor of Grace Memorial Baptist Church in Clifton and preached his first sermon on October 10. A Kentucky native, he studied at East Texas Baptist College and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, has pastored in Kentucky Ohio and Texas, and worked with Home Mission Board. He and his wife Marian and daughter Josss attend Fort Worth roots, with weekends in Clifton.

Sterling Edwards of Gatesville announced the sale of his interest in The Clifton Record to CM Hatch and W B Coats of Hamilton. James W. Smith, publisher, retains his interest and continues as general manager. Hatch, former owner of The Hamilton Herald News, and Smith have worked together ten years in publishing the Hamilton paper. Edwards cited his sole reason during this period.
