John Caldwell died at his Meridian home on Thursday morning after a short illness at 81 years, 2 months, and 5 days. He was born December 7, 1859 in Burnett County Australia and married Martha Elizabeth Mowrey on December 2, 1861. Survived by eight children, one sister, 15 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. services were held at Meridian Assembly of God Church with Rev. H. J. ava officiating.
