Lutheran Leader Dr Schietz Guided Global Missions
Dr Schietz served as traveling secretary for the Student Volunteer Movement and pastor of Trinity Church Moorhead Minnesota from 1932 to 1996. He led Lutheran world mission efforts through the Lutheran World Federation and World Council of Churches, helped form The American Lutheran Church in 1969, and held multiple presidencies and honorary degrees.

Clifton police logged two gasoline thefts in the past week. A gas was taken from a vehicle on North Ave and from a bar pump on North Highway 6. A citizens band radio was stolen in the 960 block of South Ave. L. A vending machine candy theft occurred at B and J on State Highway 6. Two accidents involved a 1966 four door sedan and a 1969 pickup with minor damage.
