Multiple thefts and arrests reported by Clifton police
Mechanics and carpenter tools worth 400 dollars were taken from a West ith Street garage while a battery disappeared from a city yards vehicle on East South Street. An attempted break in on West 3rd Street caused property damage but no entry. Several arrests followed, including two men for contributing to a minor, a public drunkenness case, and speeding. A Bell County resident faced liquor and driving charges with fines imposed by Judge W. R. Lively. An out of state motorist and a Clifton resident also paid fines for various offenses. An arrest for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest led to county jail transfer awaiting court action.
