Goodall-Witcher to Run Clifton Ambulance Service
The Goodall-Witcher Hospital Foundation will take over ambulance service for Clifton and surrounding Bosque County areas starting January 1. Administrator Jim B. Smith announced the plan at Meridian’s County courthouse, noting a small operation aims to break even with a proposed $30 per call and 60 cents per mile fee, costing $12,000–$14,000 yearly.

Formal dedication of permanent markers along Cleng Peerson Memorial Highway will be held at 12 15 p m Sunday. The program features music by the Norse Singers and dedicatory messages from sponsors. Norwegian Society of Texas members from Dallas will attend and lunch afterward. The Cleng Fund totals 431 dollars, still short of the 1200 dollar grant match from the American Revolution Bicentennial Administration. The money is raised by the Norwegian Society of Texas.

Reunion drive for Clifton CHS classes of 1936 37 38
Clifton High School classes of 1936 37 and 1938 seek reunion attendees for a turkey dinner at Clifton Civic Center on Saturday October 30 during their first class reunion. Bosque County Farm Income Surges Over Two Years
The Standard Rate and Data Service reports Bosque County farm receipts rose from 14.78 million to 18.22 million dollars in the past year, a 23 percent gain driven by higher output. Livestock, poultry and dairy sales make up 91 percent of the marketing income, with crops nine percent.
