Large crowds attend the Holiness meeting led by Rev A G Jeffries of Poniel Texas in the courthouse yard. Prof Edgar Burkhart of Sunset leads singing. Mrs Elmer Smith and two children of Pomona California visit grandfather Postmaster Harvey, arriving by noon train Saturday. The piece notes local comings and goings including ALP Kennison from Gorman opening a barber shop in Meridian, Henry Johnson hiring John Larson from Gatesville, and various townsfolk seen on the streets.
Reverend E C Caldwell welcomed Dr Fagene Caldwell as audiences attended Sunday services at the Presbyterian church in Clifton. Dr Caldwell spoke on Howe Mission work in the Central Texas Presbytery during the morning service, while the powerful evening talk titled The Power of Charity drew praise from many. He departed for Austin on Monday noon train.
