Clifton Man Injured In Jeep Crash Near Clifton Texas
Herbert Ender of Route 1 Clifton suffered serious injuries in a jeep accident on Farm To Market Road 708 two and a half miles southeast of Clifton. He sustained a fractured left leg back injuries and cuts and was taken to a Clifton hospital where surgery was needed. Police reported the jeep rolled after losing control on a curve around 2 15 Tuesday afternoon.

A. G. Parker Dies in Clifton Funeral Held for Parker
A. G. Parker 51 of 614 West 3rd Street Clifton died Friday morning September 30 in the local hospital after a months battle with a heart attack. Born January 1 1915 in Cleburne he lived there before moving to Clifton with his wife a year ago. He worked at E. E. Stewart Motors as a paint and body repairman. Survived by wife three daughters Mary Toten Clifton Daphna Hart Fort Worth Janie Fletcher Corpus Christi and son Jimmy Parker Indianapolis and nine grandchildren. Funeral services were held October 2 at Crozier Pearson Funeral Home Chapel Cleburne with burial at Grange Hall Cemetery Rio Vista.

Clifton Seeks New Fire Truck For Station Upgrade
Clifton will receive a new fire truck built on a 1967 Chevrolet chassis. Fire Chief George M. Harris says the vehicle should be ready in six to eight weeks, joining a 1958 Ford and a 1962 Chevrolet in service. The 1946 Dodge will be sold, with Turnersville among potential buyers. The Harris family visited San Antonio and San Marcos during the project.

Mr. McDougal Receives Lone Star Degree at Clifton Fair
On the final day of the 1966 Central Texas Fair and Rodeo in Clifton Homer McDougal, fair association president, was awarded the Honorary Lone Star Farmer Degree by Gerald Peacock for his service to FFA youth. The Clifton FFA chapter earned the State Gold Emblem Award 1965-66 for meeting its goals, presented by Bill Childers at the district meeting September 21.
