City OKs Bid on New Garbage Truck and Bed
In a special noon meeting, the Carlon Giry Council accepted the low bid for a 77 ton truck with a special garbage bed at 5 945 17 led by Stewart Motors of Cu tion. Other bids ranged up to 4 240 96 for the truck and 4 200 for the bed from Jak Mar and Hipack. The move aims to speed delivery as existing trucks fail. The council also authorized Clifton Housing Authority to seek federal financing for 50 more low rent units with a 24000 HUD loan.
