Central College at Walnut Springs Revisited in Inquiries
The note outlines claims Central College stood at Walnut Springs with 108 students at opening, records speeches by Dr. J. S. Pyner and others, mentions buildings later razed and repurposed, and asks for further papers or details. It traces possible ties to Meridian and Clifton colleges and to Prof. Collier’s academy, seeking clarity on origin and duration.
