Banquet at First Methodist Clifton Honors Baldridge
The First Methodist Church of Clifton hosted a banquet Thursday evening November 4 at 7:30 in the high school gym for Ray Baldridge of Gatesville who, by church law, cannot be reappointed after four years as Presiding Elder. The Woman's Missionary Society organized the event with yellow chrysanthemum and crepe decorations for about 325 attendees. Rev Hayden Edwards opened the program, with Rev J J Baldridge as guest speaker and Rev S F Weldey of Clifton College delivering remarks. Mrs Homer Carpenter provided music with Mrs W D Raley at the piano.

Ben Lee born in Bosque County moved to Terry County Texas was killed when his car struck a dark truck on the road three miles south of Browseld. The other occupant was slightly injured. Lee 60 left a widow two married daughters and a son. Buried in Truscott Knox County where he lived most of his life. Bertelton and Belvin Swenson attended the funeral.
