Clifton High Band Takes Second in State Contest
Clifton High School Band finished second at the UIL State Marching Contest finals in San Antonio behind Queen City. After prelims Clifton led 18 bands, with director Keith Zuchike noting fans and other directors praised the performance. He called it an improvement over two years and said judges’ feedback reflected strong effort.

Greene Grelle Host Annual Art Weekend Workshop
NORSE Sponsored by the Basque Arts Center Art Council Bruce Greene and Martin Grelle hosted their annual fall art workshop at Greene's Norse home and studio. Twenty five artists attended the two day event with demonstrations critique sessions across the weekend. Participants from Texas Oklahoma and Arkansas included Mimi Wright president of the art council Mike Irvin and others with ten first time attendees. The group ranges from about 20 to nearly 66 years old and covers over sixty acres in the rv County. Ken Wade contributed to the event as well.
