Clifton High School Class Reunions At Civic Center
The 1936 37 and 38 classes held reunions October 30 at Clifton Civic Center with 66 attendees. Visitation 5 to 6 20 pm and a turkey dinner catered by Downtown Cafe followed by class flowers and ribbons. Special guests included former superintendent W D Raley and principal O E Pierson with teachers Kent Appleby Elsie Coston Mae Elinor Schow present.

Lone Star Gas asks rate hike to restore earnings
Lone Star Gas Company seeks an 8 percent rate of return after an erosion of earnings from inflation and unrecovered gas costs. Local manager L M Story cites 1975 returns of 4.23 percent in Clifton and 14 months ending August 1976 unrecovered gas costs of 14.2 million. A rate increase would raise the average residential bill about 1.27 percent monthly for 3 MCF consumption.
