Upland Cotton Program Details for 1970 Announced
The U S Department of Agriculture on October 15 1969 announced a revised national marketing quota of 16 008 333 bales and acreage allotment of 17 million acres for 1970 upland cotton. The update reflects higher quotas due to poor 1969 prospects and sets a 500 pound per acre yield projection and a 65 percent farm domestic allotment with 90 percent planting rule for eligibility.
