Mrs. Sue Burns of Kopperl was elected President of Area VIII of the Young Homemakers of Texas at the Waco meeting. Area VIII includes Bosque and surrounding counties. Burns has led the Kopperl chapter, served as president and vice president, and aided in organizing local groups. The organization promotes home management, consumer education, family relations, and leadership development within Texas education programs.
