Body Of Ranchman Recovered From Brazos River
The body of Fred J. Mayfield 61 Bosque County ranchman drowned while trying to swim his horse across the Benson River twenty miles north of Clifton was recovered Monday. Mayfield native of Bosque County lived twelve miles east of Clifton. Services will be held Tuesday. He is survived by his wife and two sisters. A San Antonio visit by a daughter and grandson is noted.

Clifton High Students In Serious Automobile Accident
Clifton High School students suffered a severe car crash on Friday night after a Meridian Lake outing. Five youths were hurt, with Questad Swenson and Calvin Fossett listed as seriously injured.
