Chevrolet plants nationwide have resumed full-time operation with an average of five and a half days per week. W. S. Knudsen announces payroll exceeds 86,000 employees and production has rebounded to levels unseen since last spring. Eleven plants in manufacturing and thirty plants in assembly run six days and five nights weekly, while overall hours hover around fifty per worker.
