Corruption Claims at A&M College Sparks Pardon Debate
A lengthy exposé alleges misused commissary funds at the A&M College including whiskey and cigars bought for sick students and charged to hospital and commissary accounts. The piece accuses the board of directors and President Harrington of whitewashing and calls for independent accounting and a public inquiry into the college finances. It cites a February 18 presidential address and urges parents to demand accountability and a thorough financial audit.
