Sixty members of Clifton High School’s Class of 1977 will attend the baccalaureate service Sunday at 8 p.m. in Betsy Auditorium Clifton Elementary School. The program includes processional Faith of Our Fathers and choir numbers with Invocation by Ray Smith minister Clifton Church of Christ Sermon by the Rev Frank H Horak Jr. pastor First Presbyterian Church and Zion United Church of Christ Woman's group Awake with the choir.

Open House Sunday for George Harris
A public open house honors former Clifton Fire Chief George Harris from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Clifton fire station hosted by the Clifton Volunteer Fire Department. Refreshments, fire truck rides for youngsters, and on display equipment will be available. Harris led the department 15 years and served 30 years as a CVFD member before being succeeded by Jamie Zander last month.

Old Mill author backs petition to save Bosque River bridge
J Duke of Houston, author of The Old Mill, supports a petition by 178 residents asking Clifton officials to repair and maintain the Bosque River bridge south of the dam. The County Commissioners painted the 1884 structure but no extra work is planned. Duke cites historical value and his book.
